Based in Hokkaido is the plywood manufacturer Taizawa Plywood. Using their 'Paper-Wood' that they developed in 2009 they manufacture their work using advanced woodworking skills in Asahikawa, one of the largest furniture production areas in Japan.
Paper-Wood is a plywood with beautiful cross section colouring that was created by laminating coloured recycled paper and wood grown in Hokkaido.
Collaborating with studio Drill Design they have produced these low partitions inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. They loosely partition a space by placing them in such ways as putting them on top of a table or hanging them from the ceiling.
