A dish handmade by Japanese potter Atsushi Ogata at his studio in Nara. Digging the clay near his studio, Ogata makes these on his pottery wheel before glazing them and firing each piece in his kiln.
The finish is simple but modern, the effect created using a brush technique that's applied using a special slip to create a textured appearance. Thanks to the shape his tableware is easy to pick up and handle on a daily basis.
