This large yellow bowl was made during Stefan Andersson’s stay at Jingdezhen, the porcelain city in China. Made out of the original porcelain clay that has been dug here for over 800 years, the porcelain body has unique qualities that can only be found in this specific area.
The bowls have been fired in a gas kiln in reduction giving the inside a white with a cold tint contrasting nicely against the strong yellow. The yellow glaze was in fashion on Chinese ware during the 1900’s, but Stefan has used it to define the outer and inner and make a stable bowl that will heighten the content – like a mounting for a painting. Suitable for food and liquid.Approx Measurements: 19cm Diameter 8.5cm Height
