A wooden bud vase handcrafted in Japan by woodworking studio OITECO. The upper row can be used as a bud vase for dried flowers and the lower level can be used as an accessory case. The form itself is simple so that the texture and colour combination stands out nicely.
The colour in the wood comes from a special method of dyeing called 'Kakishibu', consisting of an amber colour made from unripe persimmon fruit. For the deeper colour iron is crushed and applied to the surface. A piece of craft and art that's functional and beautiful.
Please note: Water cannot be added to this piece. This is a bud vase for dry flowers only. Each piece is handmade in Japan and may require a lead time if out of stock (usually 2-4 weeks production time).
