Tetuyu Flat Plate
by Makoto Asebi
An impressive black dish by Japanese potter Makoto Asebi, handmade at his studio in Kamakura, a city located just outside Tokyo. This is a nice size dish and would be perfect for serving dinner or lunch.
He achieves this unique colour by applying a metal glaze and firing at a high temperature in the kiln. A simple and understated piece of functional design by Makoto Asebi.
Note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.
