These plates have been handmade by Swedish potter Stefan Andersson at his rural studio in Siljansnas, Sweden. They are special as they have been fired using straw in the kiln to create unique effects on the surface of the dish. The dish itself is slightly heavy as it's made from a stoneware.
This dish would be nice to eat lunch from or to eat small portions of food. I think this would also good to present some salad or to eat bread from in the morning. Definitely a unique plate made by a very talented potter.
