Square Walnut Tea Container

by Eiji Hagiwara

Handmade by Eiji Hagiwara in Saitama Prefecture, this rustic Japanese tea box has been carved from black walnut wood. The lid sits proudly on top, underneath is a wooden scoop and another lid to seal in the tea or coffee tightly.

The wood gradient goes from light to dark, making this box quite a spectacle on the eye. If not tea, these can be used to store various types of condiments or even objects found around the home. Overall a beautifully crafted container by Eiji Hagiwara.

Please note: These are individually made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, as they all have their own character.
