A multi-coloured bowl by Swedish potter Stefan Andersson, fired in a sagger (a clay container), stacked up on each other. This means that during the firing this "tumble stack" has deformed the bowls giving them a kidney shape that makes them easy to pick up and hold. The shape is used in tea ceremony ware for this reason.
The sagger container is used to surround the pots with pine cones as these burn away during the oil firing the colours and patterns evolve. Each of these bowls are unique and differ slightly from the photo, they're not perfectly symmetrical.Approx Measurements: 11cm Diameter 7cm Height
