A beautiful teapot handmade by Akihiro Nikaido at his studio in Mashiko, Japan. As part of his 'Mist' collection this teapot features a unique glaze that's quite wispy, moving from red to white in a circular motion, but textured when felt in the hand. They are white glazed and then baked at a high temperature in the kiln so it's fused with the soil and doesn't melt away.
Alongside the functional and handmade element, the teapot has a nice thick form and take cues from nature and architecture. Much like a building of structure, the piece has defined lines that really catch the eye, it's truly something special and would be a pleasure to revolve around.
Please note: All of these feature small marks and details that can't be picked up by the camera, the colour may also differ slightly. The handle of this teapot is held by pinching rather than putting your finger through. These will also stain slightly when used for food and drink.Approx Measurements: 15cm length x 10cm diameter x 8cm height
