An impressive dish handmade by Japanese potter Makoto Asebi at his studio in Kamakura, a city located just outside Tokyo. This is a small plate that comes in a nice white matte finish with subtle flecks running across the surface. This would be perfect for small snacks or as a saucer for a cup.
He achieves this unique colour by applying a white glaze and firing at a high temperature in the kiln. A simple and understated piece of functional design by Makoto Asebi.
Note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.
