Kenya Hara explores the Japanese way of aesthetic in this publication titled "White" in which he recognises a visual symbol of simplicity and subtlety. Having held the position of art director at Muji for over a decade now Kenya is appropriately placed to comment on the Japanese approach to design.

The central concepts discussed by Kenya Hara in this publication are emptiness and the absolute void. Kenya Hara also sees his work as a designer as a form of communication, so here he looks to offer a little of the language of Japanese form.
