The 'Kai-koma' is an auspicious spinning top made by Japanese woodworking studio OITECO. Modelled after a 'beigoma', a type of traditional Japanese spinning top, these rotate smoothly on a flat surface and offer a meditative retreat from our modern world as you watch them spin.
The colour in the oak wood comes from iron that is crushed and applied to the surface. The natural side uses a clear wood coating. Spin these horizontally and vertically on a flat surface or as a paperweight to hold your documents down.
Please note: Each piece is handmade in Japan and may require a lead time if out of stock (usually 2-4 weeks production time). May differ slightly from the photos seen here as they are custom made.
