Gokou Matcha

This matcha has been made by steaming the picked tea leaves, removing the stems and veins from the dried tea leaves and grinding the leaves to a powder by hand using a stone mill.

The Gokou blend has been cultivated in the Kyoto area for a long time and is known for being used in the tea ceremony thanks to the strong umami flavour and deep green colour that has a shine to it.
