A curved spoon handmade by Keiichi Sakai at his studio in Gifu prefecture from chestnut wood. Each piece is carved by hand and all the small markings can be seen where the knife has touched the surface of the spoon.
Not only is the colour unique, a nice light wood, the shape of this spoon makes for a functional piece of woodwork that also doubles as a piece of art. Perfect for stirring sauces or cooking with, you can also use two of these together to serve salad at the dinner table.
