Cherry Soup Spoon

by Eiji Hagiwara

A handcrafted spoon made from cherry by Japanese woodworker Eiji Hagiwara. This simple spoon is quite something, the scoop itself is fairly flat but could be used for spices, sugar, and other condiments of this nature.

The surface is smooth on the handle but becomes slightly textured on the mouth, helping to grip food slightly, it also highlights the path that the maker has used to chisel out the form. The spoon itself is treated with oil to protect it.

Dimensions: 15.5cm Length x 5cm Width (mouth)
