Both functional and sculptural is this beautiful bowl in cherry by Japanese woodworker Tomokazu Furui. Not only can this be used for everyday meals and snacks, the hand-carved touches on the bottom and outer shell of the bowl connect you with the craftsman each and every time you pick it up.

The cherry wood itself is full of character and is quite weighty, meaning it has some substance and rigidity. Overall a fantastic vessel with lots of character.

Note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.
