A very special dish handmade by Eiji Hagiwara in Saitama Prefecture. This plate has been hand turned and then carved from black walnut, on the surface of plate it appears there are lines but this is a combination of the turning and lacquer process.
The dish is treated with lacquer which is then wiped off at various stages to create this effect. Overall a very special one of a kind piece that would look great in any home.
