One of the main attributes of the Apple tree are the many small knots. To stop these sections becoming waste the woodworkers at Kimumoku workshop have replaced these small knotted areas with new wood to create a beautiful design on the surface of this dish.
This particular tray titled 'Apple Tree' uses the shape of the apple as inspiration. Each piece is unique, with the placement of these shapes depending on the original wood used to craft it.
