Yukiko Nakayama

Yukiko Nakayama is a Japanese woodworker who resides in Sukagawa City in Fukushima Prefecture. For many years she's been exploring the possibilities of wood as a material and looks to make functional works of art that are easy to use on a daily basis and fit in with any interior space.

Through her examination of the wood grain she's able to see which way to carve, making unique objects that have passion and warmth radiating from them. Nakayama is a talented woodworker who we're proud to represent here in our gallery.
