Plakira

Plakira, headed by Erika Mizukami, is a project with the concept of bringing more beauty and convenience to the tableware industry. Linking detailed design with high tech materials and handmade techniques they've produced this series crafted by the makers at Ishikawa Jiyushi in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

Through experimental techniques and good design Plakira challenges our thoughts on resin as a material and how we can produce contemporary but strong objects that will stand the test of time not only in a functional manner but also through the use of good design.
