Nissin Furniture Crafters was founded in 1946 in Hida Takayama, Gifu Prefecture.

The Nissin design style traces back to a visit to Scandinavia back in 1963. Their goal: to combine the essence of Scandinavian design with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and inspired a series of products that are practical, accessible, and durable.

Their success has been attributed to their exquisite craftsmanship, vision, and excellent use of natural material. To continue this legacy, their name “Nissin” is a reference to an old Japanese phase “Nissin Geppo,” meaning progressing consistently, reminding them to improve and innovative at all times.
