Brick Standing Vase

by Miki Furusho

A clay vase handcrafted by ceramic artist Miki Furusho at her studio near Tokyo. The Iron stand has been made by goldsmith Naoki Hanyu.

Furusho carefully combines a plain Shigaraki clay with a clay dug by hand from thIzu Peninsula in Japan to create a layered pattern that links to the ancient craft of pottery, also holding a contemporary calm that comes through thanks to the simplicity in her design.

Place a small flower inside this vase and brighten up any interior space.

Please note: These pieces are handmade and feature small markings from the making process. Each one is one of a kind. Shipped from the maker's studio in Japan.
