Lacquer Lunch Box

by Maiko Okuno

A lacquer lunch box made by Maiko Okuno at her studio in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. This comes in a dark brown/black colour and has fantastic graining. It could also be used to store accessories and as an ornament.

The box itself has been hand turned on the lathe, once sanded it has a lacquer solution applied to protect the wood. It splits in to three sections, so you can store the different food or objects. On the bottom Maiko has left her trademark stamp. Truly one of a kind.

Please note: Each are made by hand so the grain/colour of the wood might differ slightly. The top fits with a little bit of movement.

Approx measurements: 10cm Height, 11.5cm Diameter
