Lee Nuri
Lee Nuri is a designer and artist based in Seoul. After majoring in fashion at university, she left graduate school to work in lifestyle. These experiences influenced the way she approaches her work.
Lee Nuri deviates from the conventional idea of pottery as merely practical, instead focusing on expanding the boundaries of her craft into new possibilities. At the same time, she is also interested in incorporating Korean aesthetics.
In line with her work philosophy of “changes in stability”, Lee Nuri emphasizes compositional balance and unity. The bold morphological contrasts that omit detailed descriptions and the gentle curves convey the emotions of life that are self-experienced and self-made.
