Small Natural Open Bowl
A beautiful wooden bowl handcrafted by Kihachi Workshop, the oldest producer of wooden products in the Yamanaka region of Japan. These have been hand turned on an electric wheel out of 'Sen' wood, or Castor-aralia, using a technique that Kihachi's craftsmen have mastered over six generations.
The most noticeable element are the fantastic markings on the surface of the bowl, as well as the flowing open shape. The markings are naturally occurring and make each bowl unique. The perfect, thin walls make them easy to hold and beautiful on the eye, definitely a vessel to cherish. Treated with a urethane coating to protect the wood.
Please note: Each bowl is individual and has distinct markings due to grain of the wood and them being a handmade product. Bowl comes in a presentation box.
