Blue Pigment Cup
An impressive bright blue cup handmade by Japanese potter Keiichi Tanaka at his studio in Kawagoe, a city located just outside Tokyo. This cup is perfect for sake or other small amounts of drink. Otherwise use it as a decorative object.
Keiichi achieves this stunning blue surface colour by applying a glaze and firing at 1200°C. After he applies more pigment and firing again at a much lower temperature. This is certainly a quirky piece that is sure to turn a few heads.
Please note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.Approx Measurements: 7cm Diameter x 7cm Height. Ceramic. Made in Japan. Shipped from the UK.
