Black Circle Mug
An impressive black espresso mug handmade by Japanese potter Keiichi Tanaka at his studio in Kawagoe, a city located just outside Tokyo. This is a small cup with a circular loop hole for a handle, giving off some architectural vibes. The spacing of the handle makes it easy to fit your finger through and is perfect for small drinks.
He achieves this unique metallic finish by applying a metal-infused glaze and firing at 1200°C. After applying other pigments to the surface, Keiichi then fires again at a much lower temperature to make an object that's truly unique. This is certainly a quirky piece that is sure to turn heads.
Please note: These are made by hand so each one may differ slightly from the photo, they all have their own character.Approx Measurements: 5.5cm Diameter, 7.5cm Height. Ceramic. Made in Japan. Shipped from the UK.
