Hakeme Dish Plate
This simple plate by Japanese potter Katsufumi Baba would be a fantastic series to have in the home. Although these could be used for cakes and small deserts, they would also be a great compliment to the hakeme mug as a saucer.
The brush marks are bold and beautiful, hakeme is a decoration technique in which a stiff brush is used to apply slip directly to the surface of a pot, or in this case a dish. Surface wise the dish is smooth on the lighter areas and with slightly more grit on the darker sections.Approx Measurements: 16.5cm Diameter x 1cm Height. Material - Ceramic (stoneware).
