Based in Kanagawa is IPPEN, a husband and wife duo comprising of Sato Yoshitaka and Aki Nakajima. IPPEN produce objects by hand using wood or metal that stand somewhere between functional and sculptural.

Using architecture and nature as inspiration, they often scratch away the surface of their objects to leave rustic markings that blend in with any interior and offer a warmth only seen in such art objects.

Each sculpture is one of a kind and can be used as either a piece of artwork or a bud vase.
