Fumihiro Toda

Japanese potter Fumihiro Toda was born in Nagano Prefecture but later studied in Tokyo. After a short stint working in Telecommunications in Tokyo he went on to pursue ceramics, first studying in a ceramic town in Gifu.

After 12 years of honing his craft Fumihiro Toda is well known in the ceramic community and has held numerous exhibitions, winning many awards for his work. He now resides in Tokorozawa, a city located in Saitama Prefecture where he has built his own kiln.

Toda's works are fairly restraint with rustic touches, which adds character to the pottery.
