A beautiful brass cutlery rest by Japanese metalworker Rieko Fujimoto. This piece has been hand shaped by Rieko herself at her studio in Neyagawa, Osaka.

As a nod to the Japanese concept of Wabi Sabi, this item celebrates the idea of imperfection with the brass material finding new patina and character as it ages. The top of the chopstick rest is where you can see precise chisel marks making a mosaic-like pattern that looks stunning under natural light.
