As with all objects that come out of the legendary Auböck workshop, this is of high quality and beautiful in form. Made by hammering and working a piece of brass, a patina is then been added to give it a grey/black looking exterior that only gets better with age.
The little round cup has a wonderful texture and shaping, a nice touch is that you can see the brass oxidising slowly around the rim which gives the feeling of progression and an essence of character. A functional piece, this item can be used to store small objects or as its original designed use, as an ashtray.
