Large Service Fork

by Atelier tree song

A beautiful lacquer serving fork handcrafted by Japanese craftsman Taisuke Hirabayashi. Taisuke creates wooden cutlery in Tokyo, where he works out of his studio named Atelier tree song.

The form is first cut and then shaped completely by hand using a knife. Interestingly, the coating used is a dark brown lacquer that both protects the wood and highlights all the little markings where the maker has been at work. Lacquer is also known to have antibacterial properties. These also feature a small hole on the handle so they can be hung in the kitchen.

Dimensions: 23.5cm Length x 5.5cm Width (bowl)
